Q：How can I make a reservation for Kodaiin?

A：You can make a reservation through the Koyasan Shukubo Association. Please visit https://eng-shukubo.net/reservation/.

Q：Is there guest parking available?

A：While we do not have a designated guest parking area, you may park by the entrance or on the edge of the road near the temple gate.

     

Q：Can I participate in the Okunoin Night Tour?

A：Yes, you can participate in the tour. Please inform us during check-in at our Shukubou. We will prepare for an early dinner to accommodate you, and we kindly ask our guests to take a shower before heading to the tour. Our public bathing room hours are from 4:00p.m. to 9:00p.m.(Men: 4:00p.m.-5:00p.m, 8:00p.m.-9:00p.m; Women: 5:00p.m.-8:00p.m.) The walking distance is approximately 20-30 minutes to the meeting point.

Q：Is smoking allowed at the Shukubo?

A：No, smoking is strictly prohibited within our Shukubo and any indoor facility in Koyasan. Please use the designated smoking area on the first floor.

Q：Are there any curfews at the Shukubo?

A：Yes, our curfew is 9:00 p.m. and the entrance will be closed after 9p.m. You will not be able to re-enter until the next morning so please ensure to return by 9:00p.m.

Q：Are there any places where I cannot take photos?

A：Photography inside the main hall during morning prayers is prohibited. However, you are free to take photos elsewhere.

Q：Do you offer a meditation experience?

A：No, we do not offer a meditation experience at our Shukubo.

Q：Do you provide luggage storage?

A：Yes, we offer luggage storage both before checking in and after checking out. Feel free to leave your belongings with us.

Q：What are the payment options?

A：Unfortunately, at this time, we only accept cash. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Q：Can I use the public bathing room in the morning to take a shower?

A：No. Our public bathroom will not be open in the morning. Our bathing room hour is 4p.m. to 9p.m.

Q：Do you have hair dryers?

A：Hair dryers are available in the large bathing area.

Q：Can I order alcohol for dinner ?

A：Drinks are available in the dining hall. Please tell the staff what kind of drinks you would like to have.

Q：What amenities do you provide?

A：We offer various amenities such as towels, toothbrush sets, hair dryers, slippers, body soap, shampoo, conditioner, and Japanese-style pajamas.

Q：How long can I stay at Kodaiin temple?

A：Our temple accommodates your stay for up to two nights.

Q：Can I bring drinks?

A：You may consume drinks in your room, but please refrain from bringing alcoholic beverages into the dining hall.

Q：Is there a vending machine or convenience store nearby?

A：We do not have vending machines on-site, but we offer the drink menu upon request. The nearest convenience store is approximately 15-minute walk from our temple.

Q：Can I make a group reservation?
